IFS & BRC certification
All production locations of Continental Bakeries are higher level certified in accordance with the norms of the BRC (British Retail Consortium) and the IFS (International Food Standard). We therefore comply with all directions as regards to quality and food safety.


WCM
World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is the umbrella term for some technologies that we apply in order to set up and carry out our processes in an efficient and flexible manner. The concepts of sustainability, the customer and continuous improvement are central to this. All our employees within the production locations are involved in WCM. We see World Class Manufacturing not as a project but as an essential part of our business strategy. We use the following methods for this:
– Lean Management
– Total Productive Maintenance
– Six Sigma


Logistics
Our logistics department is responsible for the production planning, storage and distributing our products and handling all customer orders. For this, delivery reliability is the priority but delivery speed, efficiency and costs management are also important themes. We also strive to reduce CO2 emissions in the context of sustainability.
