WNF Palm oil Scorecard 2015 ranks Continental Bakeries third place
In the recently published report “WWF Dutch Palm Oil Scorecard 2015” our efforts on the use of sustainable palm oil are rewarded. Continental Bakeries ranks third place as one of the most advanced (Dutch) companies in the use of sustainable palm oil.
The WWF has been supporting the sustainable production of palm oil for years. For this purpose it tracked a number of Dutch companies with an international scope on the use of palm oil and recently published the results: ‘WWF Dutch Palm Oil Scorecard 2015’. Continental Bakeries ranks third place with the use of 66% Mass Balance palm fats and 34% segregated palm fats with the entire European production in 2014. In 2015 we already make use of 100% segregated palm oil. By the start of 2016 all palm parts we use will be 100% segregated including palm parts such as stearin and palmkernel.
