Gillebagaren - Åsljunga/Örkelljunga
History
Gillebagaren was founded in 1967 in Åsljunga, in the south of Sweden. Pastrycook Tord Einarsson discontinued his café and started a bakery in larger scale in a newly built factory in Åsljunga. After having manufactured also plain bread Gillebagaren specialized in small biscuits/cookies with long shelf time. Around 1970 the family pack - at that time a novelty - was introduced. By the end of the eighties a second factory has been built in Örkelljunga.
Products
In Åsljunga and Örkelljunga a divers assortment of biscuits is produced. This assortment consist of oat cookies, ginger snaps and other traditional Swedish biscuits.
